Cole Arledge

Cole Arledge is currently a Co-Founder and General Partner at NXSTEP Opportunity Partners, an opportunistic real estate private equity firm based in Austin, TX. Prior to founding NXSTEP, Cole was a Partner at AV Capital, and a Senior Associate at Golden Gate Capital; in both places, Cole focused on traditional buyout private equity. Cole started his career at Bain and Company where he spent time in both the general management consulting practice as well as the private equity group. Cole graduated from Harvard College with an A.B. in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Cum Laude. At Harvard, Cole also played on the baseball team and worked in a lab at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. Cole is currently a board member of The Champ Foundation which focuses on supporting research toward better treatment options for Pearson Syndrome.

Currently, Cole serves as a Special Advisor and Investment Partner to AV Capital, where he serves on the board of directors of American Insulated Glass and Encore Dredging.

Cole was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He attended St. Stephen’s high School where he met his wife Sarah – they have been married since 2014. In his free time, Cole enjoys watching sports, playing golf, and spending time with friends and family.
