Joe Aragona
Co-Founder, Austin Ventures
Joe Aragona is a Co-Founder of Austin Ventures and has served as a General Partner since 1982. Joe has raised and co-managed 10 AV funds totaling approximately $4 billion of committed capital. He has a successful track record of both venture capital and middle market investing in a broad range of industries, including software, business services, and middle market special situations. Joe joined Austin Ventures from the Merchant Banking division of the Bank of Boston.
Joe received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his AB from Harvard University. Joe served on the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) from 1999-2006, chaired its Research Committee and served as Board Chairman in 2006. Joe is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Livestrong Foundation, which empowers people affected by cancer, and Casa Montessori, an early-childhood development center.
